Questions

Frequently asked

Is my gift tax-deductible?

Yes. The Friends of Molokai High & Middle Schools Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 91-2102491), and gifts are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. Include your mailing address when you give so we can send a receipt letter.

Can I give to a specific scholarship, fund or school?

Yes. Choose it on the donation form, or write it on the memo line of your check. You can support athletics, any of the four scholarships, the Randy Kobayashi Fund, the endowment, or Molokaʻi Middle School.

How do seniors apply for a scholarship?

Open the application from the Scholarships page. You’ll need proof that you’ve been accepted to a college, university, two-year college or trade school. Molokaʻi High’s counseling office can confirm this year’s deadline.

How do teachers and coaches request funding?

Use the online form on the Request Funding page, or print the paper form and give it to any board member. The board usually responds within 4 to 6 weeks.

How can I volunteer or join the board?

Send us a message using the form on this page and choose “Joining or volunteering.” The board is all volunteers, and new friends are always welcome.
