Mission Statement
The mission of the Friends of Molokai High and Middle Schools Foundation is to enhance the quality of student life by providing educational, athletic, and enrichment opportunities that foster a healthy, engaged, and caring community. We are committed to supporting the holistic development of our youth, ensuring they have the tools, resources, and experiences they need to thrive and succeed. Through our efforts, we aim to help shape the leaders of tomorrow and strengthen the bond of our island community.
Our foundation’s work would not be possible without the collective support of our island community. From local businesses to individual donors and dedicated volunteers, each contributor plays a vital role in the success of our programs. Molokai’s strength lies in its people, and together, we are building a brighter future for our youth. Every donation, volunteer hour, and supportive gesture strengthens our mission and allows us to continue making a positive impact on the lives of students and families.
History & Impact
The foundation was established in response to the pressing needs of Molokai High School’s athletic department, where funding limitations often hampered the ability to participate fully in interscholastic activities. Since then, our scope has expanded significantly, supporting not only sports but also scholarships, safe celebrations, school facilities, and enrichment activities across both Molokai High and Molokai Middle Schools. We understand that our students’ success is a collective endeavor, and our foundation proudly partners with parents, educators, and community leaders to ensure that every student has the chance to flourish.

Athletic Development & Support:
Providing resources and funding for Molokai High School’s sports programs, our Athletic Development initiative promotes teamwork, resilience, and healthy lifestyles. We supply essential equipment, safe transportation, and access to upgraded facilities, ensuring students can participate fully in athletic programs. Through sports, students build lifelong skills in discipline, teamwork, and leadership, contributing to their overall personal growth.
Academic Support:
Our Academic Support program is dedicated to enhancing educational opportunities by offering scholarships, tutoring resources, and supplies for students in need. We believe in leveling the playing field, so all students have access to the tools and guidance necessary to succeed academically. From scholarships for higher education to educational workshops, we strive to create a supportive environment where every student can reach their potential.
Arts & Cultural Enrichment:
We recognize the importance of creativity and cultural heritage in a well-rounded education. Our Arts and Cultural Enrichment program supports classes, events, and workshops that connect students to visual arts, music, and Hawaiian cultural traditions. By nurturing artistic expression and cultural identity, we empower students to celebrate their heritage and express themselves in meaningful ways.
.
STEM & Technology:

A Letter from the Board
Dear Friends, Supporters, and Community Members,
On behalf of the Friends of Molokai High and Middle School Foundation, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to each of you for your continued support and dedication to our mission. Over the years, we have been privileged to witness the incredible growth and achievements of our students, and it is because of the generosity and spirit of our community that we can continue to provide the resources they need to thrive.
Our foundation was established with a simple but powerful goal: to support the educational and extracurricular aspirations of Molokai’s youth. We believe that every student should have the opportunity to explore their passions, develop new skills, and represent our island proudly—whether on the athletic field, in the arts, or through academic achievements. We are proud to help bridge the gap between need and opportunity, ensuring that our students can shine both on and off-island.
As we look to the future, we remain committed to expanding our efforts and deepening our impact. From funding sports teams to supporting STEM programs, cultural initiatives, and student-led community projects, we are dedicated to creating a nurturing environment where every student can reach their fullest potential. None of this would be possible without the support of our donors, volunteers, and partners who share our vision for a brighter future for Molokai.
Thank you for standing with us and believing in the potential of our youth. Together, we can continue to make a difference and ensure that Molokai remains a place where students are inspired, empowered, and prepared for success. We look forward to your ongoing partnership and to all the great things we will accomplish together.
With gratitude and aloha,
The Board of Directors
